What is a Machine ID?
A Machine ID is a alphanumeric code in the format xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx. This is a unique code that identifies your specific computer system. It is required by our Support staff in order to create a unique License Key for your computer.
Where is my Machine ID?
To view your machine ID, download the Subnet Tutor program and install it on the system you wish to unlock it on. Once you have installed the software on your PC, please run the program. In the main program, click the "Tools" menu, then the "Buy Now" menu item. This will display a page listing your machine ID. Please cut and paste it into the Machine ID entry blank in the online store to prevent typographical errors. If you have any questions on this prior to your order please email licensing@iscinc.com.
What is my License Key or Unlock Code?
Your License Key (also referred to as your Unlock Code) is an alpahnumeric code in the format xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx. It is used by our products to verify you have purchased a license. If you have not you can still install and run our products, however you are restricted to the Demo or Evaluation mode. This will contain limited functionality and is only designed to evaluate the product prior to obtaining a valid License Key (purchasing a copy of the Software)!
What if I want to install my program on multiple machines?
According to the End-User Licensing Agreement (EULA) our products cannot be simultaneously installed on multiple machines.
What if I purchase a new computer? How do I transfer my license key?
In the event you need to install Subnet Tutor on a different system than the
one you provided the machine ID for you will have to uninstall your license
first. Please note that in some cases of Operating System upgrades or major
system reconfigurations (reformatting hard disk, etc.) this process may be
required as Subnet Tutor will could potentially view your machine as a different
system than that which it was Licensed for via the machine ID.
Once you uninstall your license the program will provide you with an Uninstallation Confirmation Code.
In order to receive a new License Key you must email that code with the Machine ID of the new system to
licensing@iscinc.com. Please refer to the Online Help of the
program for detailed instructions on license uninstallation.
